NOTE:   Installation instructions for recolorable modular stairs:

 

 

1)make sure you have the scriptorium installed (www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=192613)

2)drop the text file provided with the respective stairs into your folder:

mydocuments/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads/Scriptorium_ ModularStairs

3)drop the stair mesh and any recolors you might have into your downloads folder

 

 

Application instructions for associated recolors:

In your game place the stairs from the catalog – in the default color – on your lot. Add the railings if you want them now, as the stairs once recolored will revert back to their default color if you place the railings later on. But this is only temporarily as saving your lot, exiting and re-entering will show the stairs in your chosen color again.
Now choose the ‘design tool’. Moving your mouse over the stairs will highlight single steps. Click on a step and a new window will pop up with all installed color options showing up.
